Our story
Missing Die Studios began as a spark of creativity during an extraordinary time. In the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, as households around the world faced lockdowns and long days indoors, a dad and his two imaginative kids found a way to stay connected and entertained. What started as a simple idea to keep boredom at bay—a unique mobile word game—quickly evolved into something far more meaningful: a family-driven mission to create games that inspire joy and togetherness.
That first project taught us a lot about creativity, resilience, and the magic of working as a team. While its commercialization faced challenges, it was the springboard for something even greater. Fueled by their growing passion for game design, the trio turned their focus to a new vision. The family dove headfirst into their next idea: Pirate Party, a pirate-themed tabletop card game that’s already bringing laughter and adventure to game nights everywhere.

Early Pirate Party Protoype
Every great game starts with a bold idea—and a few defaced playing cards! Pirate Party began as a humble prototype, crafted from store-bought cards transformed by hand with scribbles and imagination.
Over 100 playtests later, we refined the rules, added clever twists, and polished the gameplay into the fun and strategic experience it is today.
From those early experiments to the final product, Pirate Party is a testament to creativity, determination, and the joy of making something truly special.
